Moored in the picturesque Looe harbour it was ideally situated for fishing trips. We fished mainly for Blue Shark, usually 30 mile out. The only downside was the twin inboard Volvo petrol engines, although fast - were thirsty!
To become a member of The Shark Angling Club you had to catch and land a 75lb shark (unaided). That rule did see many hair-raising moments but the rules now state you tag and release - a lot safer for the angler and kinder on the fish.
